Management of Major Emergency (MME)

This comprehensive training program equips personnel with the essential skills and knowledge to effectively manage major emergencies in accordance with recognized international BTEC standards. The MME training focuses on command, control, communication, and stress management, preparing individuals to lead and coordinate responses during critical incidents.

Who Should Attend?

This training is designed for personnel designated as:

  • Person-in-charge during emergencies
  • Members of emergency management teams
  • Personnel providing support to emergency management teams
  • Individuals undertaking training and competence programs to progress to the role of an emergency response manager.

Upon completion of this training, participants will be able to

Course Content

Module 1: Theory of Management of Major Emergency

Covers the theoretical foundations of emergency management, including planning, risk assessment, and incident command systems.

Module 2: Practical Elements of Management of Major Emergency

Focuses on practical application through scenario-based simulations, allowing participants to apply their knowledge in realistic emergency situations. This includes role-playing as the On-Scene Commander (OSC).

Prerequisites

Candidates should be selected to assume the role of an On-Scene Commander or be part of an emergency response team.

Assessment and Certification

The training includes a minimum of two emergency scenario simulations per delegate, with each delegate role-playing as the On-Scene Commander (OSC) in at least two scenarios. Successful completion of the training and assessments leads to a recognized certification

Training Methodology

The training is delivered using a combination of theoretical instruction, practical exercises, and realistic simulations. The primary language of instruction is English, with Bahasa Malaysia available upon request. In-house training at client premises can also be arranged.
